Learn to Row

New to rowing? Join a Learn to Row course.

Our certified coaches teach basic rowing skills and aim to instill a love of rowing and prepare new rowers to join Adult and Youth programs.

Become part of a community that enjoys physical and mental conditioning, comradery and a connection with nature that makes our sport so great!

Learn to Row is for adults and youth who have minimal or no rowing experience, or who want a refresher of the fundamental skills.

Youth

Our youth programs are designed to foster a love for rowing. Rowing is the ultimate team sport and the discipline, focus and fitness rowing commands are just some of the incredible benefits of the sport.

For those wishing to compete, KRC's program follows a careful development pathway as set out by Rowing Canada. Ages 13 - 18 can sign up for a Youth Membership.

Recreational

Enjoy the rhythm and run of the shell across the serene waters of Okanagan Lake with our recreational rowing program.

Not everybody wants to compete, but the physiological, psychological and social benefits of rowing on the water are reward enough!

Competitive

Challenge yourself and/or your crew as you enhance your rowing skills and prepare to race at Regattas.

In 2023, KRC athletes competed at several regattas, including Cascadia Masters Championships, BC Champs, Canadian University Champs and World Rowing Masters Champs. A few medals and some prize money were the cherry on top!
